Introduction to AWS
The Introduction to AWS module will outline how to get started using the AWS Management Console and setup your infrastructure in the AWS Cloud. The module will discuss on how to access and navigate the AWS Management Console, deploy infrastructure across various regions and security measures provided by AWS.

At the completion of this session you will have the core competency and understanding of the following:
  • Navigate the AWS Management Console
  • Recognize AWS Global Infrastructure
  • Describe the security measures AWS provides
AWS Storage
The AWS Storage module will outline storage services that provides resizable storage capacity in the cloud based on various usage patterns. The module will discuss on how to assign cloud storages to virtual servers, identify use cases and best practices based on performance, cost and durability.

At the completion of this session you will have the core competency and understanding of the following:
  • Identify key AWS storage options
  • Describe Amazon Elastic Block Store
  • Create an Amazon Simple Storage Service bucket and manage associated objects
AWS Compute Services & Networking
The AWS Compute Services & Networking module will outline Amazon Elastic Compute service that provides resizable compute capacity in the cloud and Networking services like Virtual Private Cloud. In the Compute section, we will explore how to create virtual servers from exiting pre-configured Amazon Machine Images, discuss the various types of instances, pricing options and security configurations. In the Networking section, we will explore features like Virtual Private Cloud, Elastic Load Balancer and Route 53 service. We will also discuss on how to extend your IT infrastructure to the AWS Cloud using AWS Direct Connect and VPN.

At the completion of this session you will have the core competency and understanding of the following:
  • Identify the different AWS compute and networking options
  • Describe what Amazon Virtual Private Cloud is
  • Create an Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud instance
  • Verify how to use Amazon Elastic Block Storage
AWS Managed Services & Database
The AWS Managed Services & Database module will outline database services available on AWS Platforms. We will explore the different AWS managed and self-managed database. The module will also discuss on various relational and NoSQL database option, use cases and best practices.

At the completion of this session you will have the core competency and understanding of the following:
  • Describe Amazon DynamoDB
  • Verify the key aspects of Amazon Relational Database Services
  • Execute an Amazon Relational Database Services
AWS Deployment & Management
The AWS Deployment & Management module will outline various deployment and management services available on AWS Platforms that provides you with tools to build secure, monitored, automated and manageable solutions in AWS Cloud. We will explore concepts like infrastructure as code, monitoring resources, identity and access management.

At the completion of this session you will have the core competency and understanding of the following:
  • Identify what is CloudFormation
  • Describe Amazon CloudWatch metrics and alarms
  • Describe Amazon IAM
